The call sign of carbon fiber is that tight square weave of grayish blackish fibers, typically seen with a hard glossy finish. The actual carbon fiber is the fibers that make up that weave. The carbon fiber cloth we use is sailcloth, adapted to bring high strength, low stretch, and lightweight to the high performance sailing world. It is made with a lower density weave that is then sealed and finished with a flexible UV resistant resin that makes it waterproof.
